Carrot Dessert Indian Recipe

Carrot Halwa Recipe With Milk

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Serves 5 people
Cooking method: drying and boiling

Ingredients

- Half a kilogram of carrots.
- Two cups of whole milk.
- Half a cup of sugar, preferably organic.
- Four tablespoons of beef ghee.
- Tablespoon of each of raisins, cashew slices, and pistachio slices.
- Half a teaspoon of ground cardamom.

Directions

1. Place the carrots in a two-liter pressure cooker.

2. Add on the carrots: whole milk, sugar, ghee, and raisins.

3. Stir the mixture well.

4. Cook this mixture in the pressure cooker until the pressure in the pot increases for twenty to twenty-five minutes at a low temperature.

5. Open the lid as soon as the saucepan is stable, and stir the mixture over medium heat.

6. Once the mixture becomes thick, add a tablespoon of cardamom.

7. Keep cooking the mixture over medium heat until it becomes smooth and thick.

Carrot Balls With Coconut

Serves 4 people
Cooking method: boiling

Ingredients

- Five hundred grams of coconut.
- Five hundred grams of powdered sugar.
- Three carrots.
- Pinch of salt.

Directions

1. Boil carrots with water in a saucepan.

2. Mash the carrots after boiling them with a hand grinder or food fork.

3. Add a pinch of salt.

4. Mash the carrots again with coconut and soft sugar.

5. Mix the mixture well.

6. Form the mixture into small balls.

7. Dip carrot balls into coconut.

8. Decorate balls with chocolate, dried fruits or nuts.
